Chocolate products are generally in the snack category, with the most common weights ranging between 50 g and 150 g. Pouches of approximately 100 g constitute the largest part of the market. Precise weighing and the reduction of product product waste are of critical importance in chocolate products. Nitrogen gas applications are widely used to preserve product freshness. While checkweigher systems are preferred for verifying precise weight, metal detectors or X-Ray systems providing more comprehensive control can be integrated into the line for food safety purposes.
