Powder cocoas and powder puddings are today most commonly presented for sale in supermarkets in 3-side seal and 4-side seal sachet pouches. In this type of cocoa packaging and powder pudding packaging applications, almost all manufacturers prefer metalized PET + PE laminated films as the packaging material. The metalized structure helps protect the product from moisture and the external environment, while also providing a long shelf life and a high-quality packaging appearance.
Powder cocoas are generally packaged in 100 grams, and powder puddings are mostly in the range of 100-150 grams. Pouch dimensions are largely standardized among manufacturers, allowing a single pouch format to be used for different flavors. In cocoa packaging and powder pudding packaging lines, weight modifications can mostly be carried out easily via filling settings.
Auger filling systems are used in powder pudding varieties and powder cocoa packaging lines. Depending on the flow characteristics of the product, hopper systems with agitators suitable for free-flow or non-free-flow structures are used. Product feeding can be automatically provided via screw conveyors or vacuum conveyors. Since the packagings are mostly produced from metalized film, conveyor-type X-ray systems are preferred for foreign matter inspection. In addition, utilizing dust extraction systems at the correct points to control the dust that may occur during filling and packaging is one of the indispensable elements of an efficient and clean production line.
